Previous writing skill or experience is not an issue – you just need to have a love for writing!
This is a 10 module course which teaches you the basics of writing fiction. You will receive one lesson a week, emailed to you every Monday morning. One assignment is included per lesson, which you complete and send to me via return email for constructive comment and a progress report.
The course covers subjects such as:
• How to get started
• Writing a story outline
• Finding your plot
• Genre
• Form & Structure
• Setting
• Visualisation
• Descriptive Writing
• Viewpoint
• Characterisation
• Revision & Rewrites
• How to write a short story
• Getting published
Whilst these classes have been designed with fiction writing in mind, a big advantage is that through learning some of the “rules” and basic tools of writing, you can apply the knowledge gained to any genre.
