Job Description:
The successful candidate will be part of the AeroMobile team which is responsible for delivering end to end aviation communication and entertainment solutions. Responsibilities typically include development of technical solution of AeroMobile cabin communication solutions from an a software and systems perspective; Interfacing with internal engineering units and external suppliers to assist in finding viable solutions; Defining, developing and implementing software solutions to meet customer needs; Assisting with integrations and certifications where appropriate; Assisting in the technical writing of bids and proposals process to help ensure that specifications are correct and qualified; Providing some technical interface with existing and new customers from a technical perspective.
Required Experience:
Good knowledge of Linux from installation to architecture, databases and how they interface as well as SQL language; Very good knowledge of networks, from setting up a network (OSI Stack, routing, VPN, network applications) to developing network applications; Understanding of GSM protocols. Candidate must also have excellent communication skills and proven ability of taking initiative and being a productive member of a team.
Desired Experience: C development of Linux; satellite IP network knowledge as well as an understanding of non-GSM cellular networks.
