Rare matching pair French Restauration Period Bracelets. Extremely rare pair of matching French restauration period 1824 to 1830 yellow 18 karat gold bracelets. Bracelets, generally made in pairs, were an invariable consituent of the "parure" or "suite" for much of the first three decades of the 19th century, worn on each arm, even two or three paris at the same time, throughout this period. This extravagant pair, would only have been worn to "balls" or official ceremonies, and were designed to be worn "above the gloves" on each arm as cuffs or assembled together as a "collier de chien" choker. The elements composed of repousse scrolls, volutes, and flower motifs stamped out and then assembled by hand. The delicacy and workmanship is beyond words. Over 20 grams per bracelet. Hallmarks: Belier 1819 to 1838 Paris. Condition is excellent with the exception of one small piece missing from one of the bracelets that we show in the pictures provided.
