This converter is touted by media reviewers and audiophiles as one of the most accurate and musical 1-bit D/A converters available. An improved noise shaper (VANS) is compatible with DVD's superfidelity format. As a result, the XV-D723 boasts an extra-wide 108 dB dynamic range.

When they are played back on a conventional interlaced screen, images can flicker or blur. Moreover, the high-speed 54 MHz video D/A converter oversamples the progressive scan pictures to ensure truer-to-the-original images with minimum loss.
