Park Gallery is delighted to be hosting ‘BrushSTROKE’ , a collection of stunning figurative originals by inspirational self-taught artist Jaz Sandhu. Exhibition from 10th November until 19th November 2006.
Jaz has titled his debut solo exhibition ‘BrushSTROKE’ to celebrate his exceptional achievement in overcoming the effects of a stroke in April 2005. Having worked in the Hospitality and PR industry, the immediate effects of the stroke had a major impact on his life and that of his family. Determined to overcome his illness and the debilitating side affects of his medication, Jaz decided to make what can only be termed as a ‘Life Changing Decision’ by deciding to take up his love of art and use the canvas and brush as therapy to create something very beautiful and positive. He has certainly achieved that, by capturing the sensuality, beauty and elegance of the female form in this collection of truly stunning imagery.
Featuring 25 original canvases, the work captures many of the passions of the artist including: music, dance, theatre and the elegance of the classic film era.
