Description
ABOUT ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Group Consolidation, you will take responsibility for:
Leading & managing a highly specialised function which manages the receipt of completed BU's submissions from the Business Engagement, Support & Analysis team and then performing (in short timelines) the complex group consolidation in order to derive group consolidated results. This is to be done for all reporting cycles across all GAAPs & is expected to involve managing overlapping & competing requirements.
Managing the production of group level reports & analysis in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This is expected to include the production of all financials and related narrative within stakeholder documents. Details to be agreed through input to SLA development.
Leading the ongoing design, development & testing of the teams approach to consolidations (process efficiency), as well as ensuring quality of deliverables is maintained and audit trails & supporting working papers are of a high standard.
Making a key priority, aspiration & emphasis of the team – “right first time, delivery on time”. A continual reduction in the number of post submission adjustments is a critical success factor.

Establishing & maintaining industrial strength internal controls which meet both internal & external policies & standards
Specify & participate in the development of Magnitude as a prime user. This will involve inputting to changes in data model, GAAP reconciling entries, system functionality & testing support.
Co develop with the Stakeholder Deliverable team the design & maintenance of a consistent set of reports required to support Group analysis & meet stakeholder requests.
Deputise for Head of Consolidation as appropriate

Consolidation experience, ideally in a financial services group
