Harlow Depot is situated just off junction 7 of the M11. It is part of the Multi-temperature division, South East region and as a result offers a variety of products across the temperature spectrum. The site is due to move to new purpose built premises within Harlow during October 2005.
The purpose of the role is to assist the Night Warehouse Management Team in the smooth and effective running of the operational tasks of the shift.
The main responsibilities of the role will be to ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to and all documentation completed. You will ensure employee attendance has been recorded and work allocated to maximise overall operational efficiencies. You will be responsible for health and safety by ensuring all employees are working in a safe manner and wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment. Ensuring all employees have been fully trained to company standards and maintaining up to date records are key aspects of this role. You will motivate, monitor and review the shift's and the individual's performance and take the appropriate action to ensure high levels of productivity and accuracy are maintained. Communicating with your team and employees at all levels to optimise the depot's performance.
Ideally you will have good in-house knowledge of warehouse procedures and systems. Some degree of people management experience, including managing discipline, appraisals and recruitment is also required. You will be flexible in your approach to hours and working patterns and a good understanding of windows based programs would be an advantage.
