Job Description:
Provide a culture of success and direction, evaluation, motivation, and professional growth to a diverse group of sales personnel selling within the Industrial marketplace. Select, train, and assist sales personnel to acquire new business and maintain present business and sell on a planned, select method products which the region and each territory will grow in concert with the companies annual objectives. Liases with the cross functional groups within Affymetrix to ensure that the field personnel is provided with necessary support to attain objectives.
Essential Skills:
• BS/BA in a Life Science related field.
• Proven track record of sales management and/or 6-9 years directly related sales experience with exceptional sales record in pharma and biotech organizations.
• Demonstrates good working knowledge of the Drug Discovery process as well as ability to move within the clinical groups as related to Gene Expression, Genotyping, and Diagnostic opportunities.
• Demonstrates good skills in organization, communication (written and verbal), the ability to lead and mentor/influence people with strategic thinking and coaching skills.
• Familiarity with the top accounts and key researchers within the region
