Tasks
The vacancy is within the EYD Domain within the Systems & Integration Tests Centre of Competence (CoC) for Airbus. This role supports the System Design activities in the UK, which include landing gear and fuel systems.
The candidate will be required to perform 2 roles : EYD (system General) UK site Co-ordinator for all activities and resourcing, & UK Group Leader for Directives and system processes engineering.
b. EYDQU group leader Directives & System processes engineering
The EYDQ UK group leader role contributes to General Directives activities for System engineering ,to be harmonized among all Airbus sites.
This includes the Engineering of System processes, Hardware & Software for Fuel and Landing Gear
This includes Projects A380, A400M, Long Range, Wide Body and Single Aisle.
The EYDQ UK leader needs to work closely with the EY UK domains to ensure definition of, supporting the designers and assuring the processes of:
System development,
System plans,
System & equipment specification,
Validation & verification & Requirement Based Engineering,
Configuration management,
Design reviews,
Accomplishment summaries,
Indicators definition and measurement.

Your qualification
c. Reporting
For both roles, the leader will:
Report regularly on the status and progress of EYD UK items to the EYD Domain Head avoiding duplication with EYD heads of department.
Report activities on all Projects in a timely manner to the Head of Department EYDQ
To be responsible for the line management and functional reporting of people within the EYDQ UK group
Manage and develop EYDQ resource tasked with implementing systems engineering development processes across UK Domains throughout the development life cycle.
