Division: Aon Consulting
Purpose: To provide effective IT Development solutions and IT Development support to Aon Consulting Business units and clients where appropriate.
Key Accountabilities: 1. Proactive approach to project and business issues using IT solutions delivered in an efficient, robust and effective manner meeting the needs of the business;
2. Programming and analysis of specifications from business;
3. System testing capability;
4. Reports to IT Team Leader for both quality and accuracy of own work;
5. May be responsible for management of more junior members of team;
6. Use VPO to provide the Project/ IT Development Manager with updates of own work progress and ensure that all work is in accordance with the procedures and guidelines;
7. Other duties assigned by the line manager from time to time.
Technical knowledge requirements: Graduate calibre
Good commercial experience in delivering IT solutions in at least one of the IT development key programming languages
A good level of experience in building Relational Database according to the IT development procedures
A good understanding of the development lifecycle
A basic understanding of project management methods
Ability to perform business analysis and capture requirements on small project work
