Purpose: The purpose of the role is to provide support to Aon Consulting business users relating to the use and performance of a range of business applications and IT tools.
Key Accountabilities: 1. Provide technical support to business users, resolve system error messages etc and performance issues;
2. Diagnose the cause of reported problems and fix with the user or refer to other areas as appropriate;
3. Liaise with application vendors/developers to resolve logged support calls, programming work requests, fix releases etc;
4. Problem management – take ownership of a user problem and deal with other parties and actively managing to resolution for the user;
5. Analyse faults and problems and address underlying root causes to prevent or reduce the likelihood of re-occurrence.
Technical knowledge requirements: A working knowledge of the key business areas of Aon Consulting and business functions such as finance.
Experience of working with business applications provided by third party vendors
A basic understanding of project management methods
Education: Educated to A level
