Project Enigma was instigated early in 2004 with the intention of creating a common language across our International Sales and Marketing Organisation (ISMO) for managing business performance in a more effective and profitable manner.
The key objectives of Enigma are:
Improve internal controls and clarified accountabilities
Better management information for more informed business decisions
Improve cost management and visibility
Achieve a new common management reporting system for ISMO
In order to deliver this change a standard Information Model and reporting packs are being simultaneously introduced across 43 ISMO markets between January & April 2005.
The Information Model comprises the basic building blocks for creating management reports on a consistent basis throughout ISMO. These building blocks comprise permitted combinations of account codes, cost centres, product and activity, which along with AZ accounting treatments and definitions documents provide the future standard global accounting basis for ISMO.
The Information Model will allow the use of common definitions and hierarchies to ensure consistency of information and will introduce a new dimension: 'Activity', to track activities. This will provide a common language and will enable cost to activity to outcome reporting. Both of the above will ensure clear accountability within MCs for cost centres and budgets.
Role Purpose: To support Finance Manager – Information Strategy with the creation, maintenance & review of “Enigma” data structures, communications and training materials and act as a technical expert assisting ISMO Marketing Companies with interpretation of the same.
Conducting marketing company data compliance audits and training in-market or regionally. Represents team in discussions with stakeholders and other projects.
The role is offered on a 9-12 month secondment/fixed term basis initially.
