Description
Marking an improvement in the encased cell-panel structure offered by earlier Pioneer plasma displays, the PDP-503CMX features True-Matrix Imaging with Deep Encased Cell Structure, which virtually eliminates nearby light leakage from other cells, making the screen 60 percent greater than Pioneers previous models. Other new features include the Energy Star-recognized Power Save function, which reduces normal power consumption by 20 percent, as well as overall increases in bright area contrast levels that have resulted in sharper high-definition images even in the brightest of locations.

The PDP-503CMX is the next-generation Plasma from Pioneer. There are a lot of changes inside this 1280x768 (Wide XGA) 50" panel, such as greater brightness and contrast, less power consumption, less weight and Windows compatibility, but perhaps the most exciting is a slot for aftermarket video/RGB/digital interfacing. Slide in the Pioneer PDA-5002 video card, and youve got compatibility with all kinds of RGB and video signals (even DVI!). Slide in the cards and you can display picture-in-picture, SDI, or wireless video as well as having imbedded IP addresses, large videowall capabilities, and a host of other functions. The PDP-503CMX has a viewing angle of over 160 degrees, ensuring that no one misses the action, and it also boasts five preset screen modes and a built in amplifier for optional speakers. The PDP-503CMX is less than 4" deep, so is ideal for wall mounting, and unlike other plasma screen monitors, the cooling fan comes on only when its needed, so nothing spoils quiet moments in a presentation. Its a computer monitor that can handle resolutions up to 1600x1200, but with the optional PDA-5002 it can also accept 720p and 1080i HD signals. The PDP-503CMX is ideal for a media room, corporate presentation or digital signage.
