Outwood windmill comprises the mill house, built in 1983, with 4 bedrooms; the bungalow, built in the 1960s, with 2 bedrooms; the stable block with permission to create a 2-bed cottage for the miller.
There is also the cowshed, presently used as a museum, and the barn and other outbuildings.
The windmill was built in 1665, and is the oldest windmill still working in Britain. Corn is still milled when the wind blows for sale to visitors.
The whole is enclosed in 1.7 acres of land, surrounded by common land.
Outwood is 6 miles from Redhill, 4 from Horley, and 8 from Gatwick airport. It lies south of London (30 mins by train from Redhill) in a sought-after area of Surrey
