Would you like to improvise? Play by ear? Sight-read? Do you like the idea of being a fluent and natural musician but have always felt that this was something only available to those with natural talent?
If you understand the language of music, I believe you can learn to "speak" it too! The training I offer will empower you musically and unlock your expressive talents in ways that traditional methods of musical learning do not. Learning to play pieces without developing real musicianship skills does not interest me. My passion is to provide students with the resources and guidance to generate real musical fluency.
• Piano - classical, jazz and pop improvisation
• Singing - wide range of styles
• Theory, practical & aural musicianship (or Language of Music) - courses tailored to suit the individual's requirements
• Composition and arranging - all styles & genres
• Project studio recording and programming, scoring and orchestration (p.c. / computer-based - Cubase, Finale, Sibelius)
• Academic music for GCSE, A level, diploma and degree students
Because my methods are unique I have developed a wealth of study material and piano studies & pieces, so there is no need for students to buy expensive sheet music or music textbooks.
