Overall purpose:
BDO Stoy Hayward’s ambition is to be the leading firm in the mid tier in terms of market share and market position. The focus of this role is to build brand awareness of BDO Stoy Hayward among key target audiences by doing the following:
Developing and implementing ideas and initiatives that support the brand and business objectives and which can be easily run nationally
Managing discrete PR projects and campaigns
Key responsibilities:
Managing the implementation of key reputation management initiatives
Oversee the development and execution of PR on thought leadership issues across sectors
Provide reputation management advice and support to partners
Identify and create PR opportunities by liasing with other members of the MSC department and with partners and staff to unearth stories and company news that help to create and sustain the brand strategy
Creation of PR led awareness campaigns and provision of PR support on brand awareness initiatives.
Liase with journalists on national newspapers and trade publications
Manage the communication of PR successes throughout the BDO Stoy Hayward
Assist the Reputation manager in the management of crisis PR situations on a national level
Producing evaluation reports of PR activity on a campaign and quarterly basis to evaluate ROI on activity/spend and make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Work to a criteria which evaluates requests for support according to the firm’s strategy of focusing on the larger mid corporate market to ensure budget/resource is allocated effectively
Brief and manage PR agency on a range of activities from local stories to central campaigns ensuring they perform in

Experience/Qualifications
Graduate calibre
3-5 years + PR or journalist experience
Previous PR or journalist experience essential
Professional qualification and/or demonstrable commitment to ongoing learning
Experience in one of the following preferable:
1. a PR position in a professional services firm
2. PR agency experience
