Responsibilities The role has responsibility for the development of new initiatives for the Personal and Small Business Lending across key international markets. New initiatives span from NPD e.g .development of a mortgage business, to large scale infrastructure improvements e.g. new Application Processing capabilities, and new distribution and partnership opportunities.
• Evaluate opportunities to expand current lending opportunities beyond term loans. In particular, expansion into mortgages and revitalization of LOC. Progress opportunities from concept through to implementation.
Distribution and Partnerships
• Evaluate and implement new channels of distribution e.g. work place, 3rd party channels
• Identify opportunities to leverage partnerships for distribution of Amex and 3rd party value propositions
Infrastructure improvements
• Support current infrastructure developments that assist market’s future growth plans, improve overall customer experience and deliver profitable new lending
• Identify new infrastructure development needs driven by expected future growth. Evaluate alternative options and provide recommended investments

• Development of new value propositions, distribution channels and infrastructure
Responsibilities of other team members include:
• Marketing e.g. communications, positioning etc., existing value propositions to current
target audience
• Distribution of existing value propositions through existing channels
Required Qualifications • Proven Marketing and/or Product Management expertise
• Minimum 4 years Marketing and/or Product Management experience in the Consumer Credit
business
• Strong analytical skills and creativity
• Proven experience in lending projects
• Ability to drive results
• Collaboration and influencing skills with PSBL teams, other parts of Amex and 3rd parties
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage change
• Ability to synthesize disparate sources of information leading to development of
conclusions and recommendations
• Knowledge of Amex internal processes, preferable
• College degree or equivalent preferred
• Partnership experience optional
