Description
Responsibilities Provide planning, structure and thought leadership for Blue Box airline partnerships. This includes joint ventures, portfolio acquisitions, distribution deals and co-brand cards, redemption cost, customer experience, etc.
Work closely with VP Airlines developing and implementing overall Airline Strategy for EMEA
Client facing meetings together with client managers conducting business reviews, renegotiate airline deals and solve other commercial issues
Actionable financial decision support and scenarios
High quality financial analysis for identification and assessment of potential partners, negotiation process, contract design and implementation.
Proactively identify optimization potential of existing deals and drive actions to improve results.
Work closely with all American Express business units, supporting existing initiatives and identifying / driving new Blue Box business opportunities
Jointly with VP airlines prepare senior management presentations on airline status, strategy or other relevant airline topics
Lead and drive various Pan-European initiatives and projects.
Together with VP airlines drive various types of client events and relationship building activities.
Required Qualifications Drive Result with strong business and financial acumen
Strong analytical and reasoning skills
Excellent relationship management skills and good track records in negotiations and managing complex deals.
Comfortable in handling complex financial cases while maintaining strongly focused on key levers, risks and opportunities
High financial and business acumen and broad strategic/global thinking.
Ability to see beyond the case at hand, effect on future/other parts of the business.
Balancing customer and shareholder view with a good external focus on competition.
Strong communicator with high influencing skills through concise, clear reasoning and confidence with senior audience
Ability to understand, develop and present at senior level.
Ability to operate effectively in fast –moving and rapidly changing matrix environments
Strong relationship building skills, - Proven ability to work efficiently with a wide range of senior and middle-level internal and external executives across different functions and cultural diversity.
MBA degree
