Responsibilities To provide outstanding customer service by placing the interests of the customers first and aiming to exceed customer expectations. To build a rapport with customers to maximise repeat business. To listen to the needs of the customer and promote American Express products at every opportunity. To operate a till with no discrepancies. To follow American Express company and compliance procedures. To operate within the required individual transaction limit. To demonstrate full commitment in achieving personal goals and the goals of the team and organisation. To work as a team player and be flexible to the demands of the business. To be punctual and presentable. To be professional in all business dealings. To obtain business leads from clients. To maximise revenues from existing client base. To meet and exceed personal and team targets. To operate efficiently and accurately a foreign exchange till. To count efficiently and accurately large amounts of money. To calculate and understand exchange rates. To participate in and encourage generating new ideas for maximising revenues.
Required Qualifications Suitable references (employee and or personal) covering the last 5 years.
Educated to GCSE standard
Excellent communication skills
Ability to cope under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail/accuracy
Flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team or in a solo environment
Strong numerical skills
Experience of working in a cash handling environment
Experience of working in a target driven environment
Basic computer familiarity/literacy
Good problem solving skills
Meeting and exceeding customer expectations previous customer contact experience essential
Experience of working with foreign currency / Bank / Building Society/Bureau background desirable
