Job Description
The Transmission Site Engineer is primarily responsible for the technical aspects of sections of projects of all types and sizes. Will be resident on projects and responsible for co-ordinating the resources allocated to ensure that the designated sections of work are delivered in a safe and timely manner
Tasks & Responsibilities
Responsibility for day to day Health and Safety matters of staff and sub-contractors working under his control on projects.
Adequate reporting of Safety incidents and “near misses” both internally and externally as required to Client.
Planning, day to day co-ordination and management of foremen and Linesmen.
Planning, day to day co-ordination and management of sub-contractors.
Regular liaison with Client’s site representatives and attendance at any Client and project meetings as required.
To control costs and be aware of the financial status of the project.
Production of all Method Statements, Work Instructions and Risk Assessments as required by Safety Regulations and / or Client.
Provide the Project Manager with all information required to produce Contract Status Reports (or other reports required by Client).
To provide well-documented information to support the Project Manager in submitting any project claims.
Plan and co-ordinate required resources (plant, materials and labour) to carry out required projects.
To determine material requirements and liaise with Procurement in a timely manner to ensure all materials are available to complete the project requirements.
Support the Construction Manager in technical and resource input for tendering where required.
To Role Model company ethos and promote the Eve Management style throughout the company.
