Role
Senior Project Manager / Project Director with key for leading on highway and / or major public transport scheme appraisal including sercuring funding and progression of schemes through statutory processes. The role also includes supporting business development and staff improvement activities.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate would be expected to perform the following roles:
Provide high level technical leadership to project managers and technical specialists within Transport Planning
To support business unit managers to identify and agree resourcing requirements for projects and business development activities
Project management / direction
Technical advice on modelling and appraisal methods
Bid and win work in multi modal transport studies and modelling / policy research
Represent Atkins at technical seminars / conferences and promote our capability
Requirements
The successful candidate will have expertise in several of the following:
Proven track record in winning new work and delivering transport planning projects
Proven track record in project management and staff development
Strong technical transport planning background covering, public transport planning, modelling and appraisal
