Job Description
Position: Clinical Nurse Advisor
Reports to: Nurse Manager
The aim of this position is to deliver and continually develop at ground level, cross-therapeutic healthcare services to both NHS healthcare professionals and to patients in support of AZ product lines. You will be responsible for the implementation, and contribute to the development, of specific healthcare projects in line with AstraZeneca UK goals and priorities. You will be required to operate across a range of activities which may involve, clinical audit, therapeutic/treatment review programmes, promoting best practice through healthcare professional education activities, or other commercially based activities.
Requirements
Deliver a Cross-Therapeutic healthcare service, within a designated geographical area, to reflect the changing needs of the business
Guarantee education and support where appropriate for primary and/or secondary healthcare professionals who are involved in AstraZeneca's core therapy areas (as appropriate)
Proactively liase with colleagues, especially the field based teams to capitalise on business opportunities in specific NHS units (e.g. hospital departments, primary care practices, PCGs/PCTs)
In order to monitor the impact, encourage the development and maintenance of evaluation systems related to healthcare services' activity
Raise awareness of AstraZeneca and its services to customers in order to support the business needs, in line with agreed targets as appropriate
Contribute advice within the clinical area to healthcare professionals and patients
Continue to develop personal knowledge of clinical issues, changing structures and decision-making processes within the NHS
Present timely and accurate administration
Develop and manage a strong profile of their designated geographical area in order to identify opportunities to support the area needs
Nurture a good personal example by maintaining professionalism and business development
