Description
Provide First class financial and commercial support to relevant business areas to ensure and assist in effective decision making
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Business Partnering (35%)
Build strong relationships with Business contacts
Ensuring month end financial statements accurately reflect the activities of the Business area
Develop insightful customer focussed reports and analysis to identify potential risk areas or specific areas of interest to customer
Defining training needs and carry out training for customers in areas such as financial terminology, techniques and statement interpretation
Ensuring customers are conducting business under corporate governance guidelines and company policies
Decision support (30%)
Benchmarking profitability or quality of ROI across business areas
Use effective accounting techniques to aid in quality decision making
Proactively identifying opportunities to apply techniques in decision making and taking business partner through outputs
Process Improvement (15%)
Identification of business processes or controls for improvement, cessation or commencement
Identification and evaluation of alternate methods and solutions to current processes
Develop implementation plan for new processes and evaluate their success
Planning & Forecasting (20%)
Assimilation of facts, challenge of assumptions and drivers for operational plans of relevant business area
Conversion of above in to operational /functional plans
Presentation to business customers to obtain closure
Minimum Requirements - Education and Experience
CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification – PQE of 2 years
Proven good to excellent performance track record
