Hackney Downs Park is just around the corner (a two minute walk). Other useful facts The flat is in Hackney Council’s controlled parking Zone D. An annual resident’s permit costs £80. The flat is in council tax band D, which costs about £1,100 a year. The flat is currently on leasehold with about 110 years left remaining on the lease. The ground rent is £180 a year. However, the three other leaseholders, who are all very nice, are clubbing together to buy the freehold, which you will also be able to buy a quarter share of for about £1,750. Actually the place is really friendly and a great location – it’s very central so you can get cheap cabs back after a night out or you can cycle to the West End in 25 minutes. I am only selling this flat because I am moving in with my girlfriend and we want a small house with a garden- but we will definitely be buying in Hackney because with the tube coming, it remains a great place to invest.
