Responsibilities
1. Delivery and deployment of IT Infrastructure solutions, ensuring that they are on time, within budget and to the required standard. This will be achieved utilising a combination of on-site Support Analyst and L2 Helpdesk, direct report resources together with external shared, COMFIN TSO team resources.
2. Work with business teams to gather requirements, create specifications and develop new solutions or enhance existing applications within the front-end sales support ad reporting and risk analytics functional disciplines. This will encompass direction and supervision of direct report, project team and external vendor resources.
3. Across the service and solution delivery disciplines ensure that:
*Tasks and Projects are set-up correctly with clear ownership and project control
* Consultative analysis and functional requirements are completed and document deliveries are met; such as SOW, design documentation, test plans/scripts and training and implementation plans
* Project Planning and communication is completed with the business, external customers and other stakeholders regarding status, milestones, issue resolution and escalation
* Projects are tracked ad monitoring against time, effort and cost
* Effectively manage, and where necessary coach, direct reports, project team resources and external vendor resources
4. The jobholder will have responsibility for maintenance and control of IT compliance documentation and standards including IT 404 Sarbanes Oxley and other process and operational documentation and metrics.
5. .As part of the broader IT team the jobholder will be expected to participate in other IT task areas as required. This may result in an element of out of hours work and travel to other GE sites.
Qualifications
5 years experience in IT with a strong technical understanding across a broad range of areas including Windows server, Desktop and Networking and experience of project management and system delivery
Strong project organisation, problem solving and prioritisation skills with ability to manage client and team expectations
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels.
Must be a self-starter and able to multi-taskKnowledge of SQL database and Web technologies preferred.
Six Sigma trained.
Some knowledge of Factoring and Invoice Discounting business would be advantageous.
