Responsibilities
Key Result Areas:
*Define detailed technical/systems/service solutions and strategies to meet business requirements
*Take responsibility for handover of complete projects (technical/ development/service-related/corporate initiatives) or the management of a discrete service area (e.g. Network support, Data/Voice)
*Co-ordinate the work of project teams to ensure functionality is delivered on time and within agreed resources
*Liaise with third-party-in-house developers/service providers to ensure that handover to support is completed to time and specification
*Liaise with users as required to clarify issues or problems
*Plan and manage systems tests to ensure that solutions work correctly and meet the specification before applying to product ional Network
*Document changes to Network and produce documentation and diagram for new solutions
*Investigate and resolve complex system problems channelled via the Helpdesk or equivalent in order to minimise disruption to operational activity
*Manage Disaster Recovery and Business Contingency trials and tests as appropriate to ensure full preparedness for crisis situations
*Ensure that local and corporate security standards are implemented and enforced across the Network
*Provide 24/7 on call support as per rota

Qualifications
Skills & Experience:
*2-3 years experience in Supporting a Cisco or Foundry LAN/WAN environment Project delivery / System administration or Technical Service Management
*Technical competence in more than one core technology: Cisco Router / Cisco Switches / Foundry / LAN/Desktop/ WAN/ Telephony / VOIP / Avaya
*Knowledge of more than one Cisco / Foundry hardware and how it is configured
*Knowledge of more than one core applications system
*Basic project management
*Basic vendor management
*Solution design & specification
*Communication skills: ability to liaise with users/ service providers
*General awareness of GE Money
