Responsibilities
The purpose of the National Account Manager role is to formulate and execute strategic initiatives, that bring value to the GE Money Home Lending business and broker relationships. To develop and manage relationships with key brokers within a defined territory or for designated accounts, in order to deliver and exceed sales targets.
Key Tasks:
* Contribute to the development of broker sales strategies and develop broker-specific sales plans and targets.
* Implement, monitor and report on performance against sales plans and targets in order to maximise performance.
* Develop and manage broker training plans, working with the broker training managers to provide a structured learning culture.
* Maintain regular communication with broker contacts to build relationships, identify issues and sell in new initiatives.
* Manage the delivery of performance reporting and analysis to the broker.
* Work closely with National Account Managers and other internal stakeholders to ensure that sales activity is consistent with business strategy and initiatives.
* Work with internal stakeholders on business specific projects
* Manage projects that specifically effect your brokers
* Identify and implement opportunities for driving profitable business through "own" brokers.
* Ensure that opportunities and risks identified at field level are communicated to the business to maximise learning.
* Contribute to and initiate best practice initiatives across broker portfolios.
* Provide leadership to BDM's / BTM's in your area, including reviewing targets, performance & performance fo rall business in the region.
Qualifications
* Excellent People Management skills
* Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
* Minimum 5 years sales/business development capacity focused in Financial Services
* Experience of building and managing broker relationships
* Up-to-date knowledge of the financial services/ retail credit market: competitors & products
* Project management skills
* Numeracy & analytical skills
* Good working knowledge of mortgage or loan market (cultures, organisation)
* Excellent negotiation skills to board level
* Ability to balance broker & GE business requirements
* Problem resolution & decision-making
* Understanding of FSA, DPA and CCA
* Good training skills
* Good working knowledge of the company 's underwriting criteria and process
