Senior Financial Services Technology Architect - Bearingpoint

Description:
BearingPoint is seeking a senior technology professional with experience leading large project initiatives for insurance, retail banking, or capital markets companies. The ideal candidate will have prior industry and consulting experience in leading clients to architect and implement transformational technology programmes. The role will include setting team direction and contributing to setting a high-performance, high morale environment and culture. Client responsibilities include managing projects and performing senior roles on large scale projects. The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with people at all levels.



Responsibilities:
· 10+ years working in technology programme management delivery to financial services companies, of which 4+ years consulting experience is required
· Strong background in leading large-scale, full life-cycle technology implementations
· Proven track record in leading system integration engagements and systems development lifecycle projects
· Strong leadership, communications, and organizational skills required
· Experience with Vendor Management, software evaluation and selection
· Experience and understanding in architecture design for financial services companies
· Experience of RUP/UML/CMM preferred
· Specialisation in a technology area (e.g. Java, Web services, middleware etc.) and/or business focus (e.g. Trading, Insurance, Exchanges, Retail Banking etc.) a plus
