Key Objectives
- To undertake project related tasks, to time and required standard, under senior guidance
- To help develop and expand the Unit’s ability to conduct statistically sophisticated analyses of survey datasets
Job Description
- To design surveys and questionnaires
- To prepare charts and graphs
- To give client presentations
- To proof read and check the accuracy of documents.
- To inform clients of progress and build relationships.
- To write research reports.
- To brief and liaise with operations staff
- To advise on feasibility and suitability of sophisticated analyses of survey datasets
- To provide sophisticated analyses of survey datasets
- To contribute to achieving the overall departmental objectives
- To maintain good working relationships with departments

Qualifications and skills
- First degree or postgraduate degree qualifications in statistics, maths or in another subject as long as the course involved a considerable amount of quantitative data analysis
- Grade B English Literature at GCSE level
- Must be familiar with SPSS
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to plan ahead and prioritise
- Logical approach
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Essential Experience
1-2 years of professional experience
Desirable Experience
Experience of working in media research is an advantage but not essential – an interest in media is more important.
