Key Objectives
Support Enlightenment consultancy team in data mining and analysis, involving:
- Manipulating our data mining software from simple runs to more sophisticated projects (full training will be provided)
- Data checking (training will be provided)
- Data interpreting
- Charting the data with a view to present the findings in a highly visual and insightful manner (clear guidance will be provided)
- Being in contact with clients on day to day tasks
Job Description
The job holder will primarily focus on the quality and reliability of the data extracted from our database, as well as on presentation documents.
The role will give exposure to a number of quantitative techniques as well as a large spectrum of market research applications. It will provide an opportunity to learn a number of communication techniques, and to work in a creative and stimulating environment, with a unique approach to market research.
In the longer term, after a suitable period of training, there will be opportunities to become more client facing. Our team works with many different clients from various sectors (Finance, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals etc.)
He/she will work closely with the Senior Consultant and the wider team and will take responsibility for ensuring the quality of our deliverables.

Job Specific Competencies
The job candidate must be comfortable with using Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience in market research or marketing desirable but not essential. He/she will need at least a genuine interest in it. The ideal candidate will be open minded, keen to learn and enthusiastic.
He/she must demonstrate a rigorous and analytical mindset, be numerate, and have an aptitude for extracting simple messages from complex data.
Being knowledgeable/experienced in programming or statistics would be a real asset.

Essential Experience & Qualifications
A degree or equivalent qualification, in maths / statistics, marketing/ market research, communication, sociology, psychology or geography would be ideal.
Ideally 1-2 years of professional experience
