It is the primary responsibility of the Business Development Specialist, Analytic Applications to build and manage the analytic applications business for their territory. The Business Development Specialist, Analytic Applications will have to collaborate with the sales, alliances and Professional Services teams to support the positioning, qualifying and selling of the analytic applications. The BDS, Analytics Applications will require a hybrid of skills and experiences related to sales, business development and professional services.
The person needs to have credibility in analytic applications. This will be demonstrated by both functional experience in the business (brand management, product marketing, finance, CRM, etc.) and relevant industry experience in either the Retail or CPG vertical market. It is preferred that they have implementation skills, as that will validate their credibility in the sales cycle. The BDS, Analytic Applications should be expert at asking the right questions in order to identify and quantify pain areas. They must be able to demonstrate the product, and be able to articulate the functional capabilities of the analytic application modules. They must be able to run a Vision Workshop. They should have strong facilitation and interpersonal (oral and written communication) skills.
