We are seeking a motivated person to join our Clinical Coding Team.
You will be responsible for the abstraction of clinical data from patient records and translating it into diagnostic (currently ICD10) and procedure (currently opcs) coding classifications. You must be flexible in your approach, be able to work as part of a team and to tight deadlines without close supervision. You will have good knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. The ability to abstract and analyse information and basic computer literacy.
Although we are ideally looking for an experienced Clinical Coder with the national coding qualification (or in the process of studying for it) we may consider suitable candidates for a trainee position on A&C3.
There is some flexibility for imaginative work patterns for the right candidate. You will be required to work at any of the hospitals within the trust.
