Chilton Houses opened 5 years ago. Although it is a 16 place rehabilitation in-patient service, for the residents it certainly isn't anything like living on a ward.
The staff team set out to build a new service, working in partnership with people who have had significant mental distress and who have had a lot of contact with mental health services. This is now being extended to support individuals in their own homes and in supported accommodation, as part of the Trustwide development of the rehabilitation service model of care.
Rehabilitation Workers are required to join the Chilton Houses team to provide a high standard of care and rehabilitation to individual residents according to their Care Plan.
Knowledge and skills relating to community living would be desirable and it is essential that applicants can demonstrate they are a team player.
