Function Overview:
Carillion Construction Training is a rapidly growing construction training business. It employs circ 2000 apprentices and adult trainees on it’s programmes. The programmes we run involve education and training centres and assessment of practical work experience in a building environment. The business improvement has been driven by efficiency gains and general organic growth. We employ circa 200 full time trainers, management and other support staff. We operate 16 training centres throughout England and Wales. We are widely recognised as the biggest and best construction training business in the UK. The last Adult Learning Inspectorate assessment put CCT in the top 5% of training businesses in the UK.
Purpose of Role:
Delivery of training to trainees, apprentices and adult learners to achieve Company, Industry and National Standards..
Key Role Objectives:
- Ensure all learners are correctly inducted.
- Interview and assess candidates.
- Monitor all learners and maintain records.
- Ensure Quality and Equal Opportunities Policies are maintained.
- Provide guidance and coaching.
- Individual Learning Plans are maintained for all learners.
- Plan day-to-day activity of learning objectives.
- Delivery of learning objectives.
- Ensure housekeeping responsibilities are maintained.
- Contribute to budgetary control.
- Liaise with Placement Officer to co-ordinate site based evidence of
learners.
- Adherence to Company Procedure for Quality, Safety, Learning
Activity and Assessment.
- Carry out all reasonable requests by Line Manager.
