Description
Purpose of Role:
To proactively protect the contract’s financial position by
o Producing project life cycle cost models
o Advising designers on how to optimise capital and life cycle costs
o Gather and analyse asset performance data for benchmarking purposes
Key Role Objectives:
To review designs in progress and advise on how life cycle costs can be optimised with capital expenditure by influencing the design process.·
To work with client bodies in influencing Strategic Briefs in a way that reduces cost and/or maximizes value·
Provide effective support to Project Management staff by
o Advising on Whole Life Costs
o Liase with supply chain/manufactures regarding product life span and maintenance regimes
o Preparing option study cost appraisals.·
To produce and update and maintain Indicative Life Cycle costs during both “pre” and “post” contract stages.
