Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the Director of Contract, will manage all technical aspects, procurement of materials timorously and co-ordination of sub-contractors. Ensure that quality and costs are controlled.
Key Role Objectives:
As well as demonstrating competence in subordinates key objectives:
Ensure safe systems of work are employed and a safety culture of the highest order is instilled in all staff·
Liaise with employers representatives to raise and answer queries·
Monitor additional work, day work and/or delays to ensure that costs are recouped·
Monitor progress against master programme, identify anomalies and implement rectification·
Monitor quality, safety and environmental systems to ensure compliance to Carillion’s management systems·
Monitor temporary works to ensure they are fit for use·
Short term programming to monitor against master programme
Main Accountabilities of the Role:
BUDGET
Responsible for monitoring and controlling spend against agreed budgets.
STAFF
Must monitor subordinates, operatives and subcontractors.
PROCESSES
Must ensure that Carillion’s management systems are adhered to.Co-ordinate technical aspects.Procure materialsCo-ordinate subcontractors.
