Function Overview:
Purpose of Role:
To manage the intranet systems providing an update service on a daily basis, ensuring all documents and procedures are posted in readiness for implementation.Ensure newsflashes are put on the system immediately PON’S and WON’S are added to the system on a weekly basis.Other duties as laid down in the objectives.
Key Role Objectives:
-To maintain and update internal safety critical standards, newsflashes and documents to ensure compliance with internal and Network Rail operating standards and safe systems of work;
-To maintain web pages and advise where appropriate on the maintenance of Applications (these are managed by Shared Services Web Team).
-To order and update Network Rail standards on the intranet (e.g. Group and Line Standards, Hazard directories);
-To post documents on the intranet crucial to the planning of Projects work (e.g. Weekly and periodical Operating notices, special instructions);Inputting initial accident reports into SMIS
