Overall job purpose
In conjunction with the Regional Office Manager, this role will be accountable for the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the Leeds Area Office and the administrative support services and office infrastructure provided therein.
Key responsibilities
* In conjunction with Regional Office Manager, provide line management, leadership and day-to-day supervision of all support staff to ensure they are deployed in a way that best ensures an effective and responsive service. Handle any issues or areas of concern with support from Regional Office Manager where necessary:
* Supervision of all support staff on a daily basis and providing line management including carrying out one to one meetings with staff, performance development reviews
* Take responsibility for front line problem solving, escalating more serious issues to Regional Business Manager as appropriate
* Assist with the recruitment, selection and induction of support staff
* Identification of training needs for support staff, provision of competency development in the areas identified via appraisal and liaising with other departments (e.g. Learning and Development and IT) to ensure delivery of appropriate training
* Allocation of workload to ensure a fair and equitable distribution of duties
* Monitoring work of support staff to ensure that regional and national administrative procedures are adhered to and target deadlines are met:
* Ensure that all data is recorded in a timely and accurate manner on relevant systems for quality assurance purposes in order to make informed decisions
* Ensure that administrative processes in relation to the NHS annual health check, regulation, inspection, complaints and enforcement of independent healthcare are completed accurately and in line with nationally agreed targets
* Ensure that documents are filed in electronic and manual systems in accordance with agreed filing protocols
* Reorganisation of priorities to ensure that urgent work can be accommodated
