Description of duties - Run and maintain an Express Repair Centre
- Repair customer handsets.

Job description The Job:
Reporting to the Divisional Retail Repairs Manager, working alongside the Sales Team, each Repair Technician is responsible for managing their own work and time, and the smooth running of their Repair Centre.
Repairing on average 12 mobile phones a day, covering a range of manufacturers and faults. You could expect to make cosmetic repairs, check and repair power supply faults, change components and progress to soldering and component repairs - this is supported by a structured training programme and on-going training for new products and technology.
In addition you are expected to:
" Return any phones that cannot be repaired on site to the Central Repair Department in a timely and organised fashion
" Maintain your equipment including anti static checks, regular calibration and the installation of software upgrades.
" Maintain your own store of parts, stocktaking and ordering on a regular basis.
" Speak directly with customers, manufacturers and Head Office staff
" Process your own administration using e-mail/computerised in-house system and accurately file your own paper work
The Person:
" Will have a pleasant and helpful personality, with drive and ambition
" Be smart and professional in appearance
" Have initiative and be able to work un-supervised
" Be flexible to work in a retail environment, to include weekends on a rota basis
" Have a City and Guilds 224 or equivalent - essential
" Basic PC knowledge and skills
" 12 months work experience working with electronic, TV, video, computer or audio bench repairs would be ideal but not essential as full training can be given
