Purpose of Role:
Responsibility for the day to day management of press office and consumer PR, both in house and management of agencies.
Work Experience:
- No less than 4 years within a consumer PR agency or combined with in an internal press office role
- Extensive knowledge of the media and experienced press release writer
Key Responsibilities:
· To work with Head of PR to put together the consumer PR plan for CPW and TalkTalk
· To manage and implement the plan achieving maximum results within agreed timeframes
· To constantly grow and pursue an already impressive media contact base
· To have a sound knowledge, strong appetite and keen interest in the media
· To proactively identify new PR campaign ideas and news angles and follow these through to execution and results
· To effectively manage and develop the junior press officer and press office assistant
· To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the press office at all times
· To brief, manage and support the CPW and TalkTalk agency on a daily basis, ensuring maximum results
· Overall responsibility for the PR budget, ensuring that all invoices are paid promptly, filed and budget is not exceeded
· General support to support the Head of PR
