Description
We created a single living/dining/kitchen area downstairs, with gas fired under-floor heating beneath the warm-toned slate floor. The kitchen has a full-size oven and hob, and washing machine set in a bespoke solid oak unit, with a fridge concealed under the stairs nearby. A four-seat kitchen/dining table fits in comfortably beside the living flame gas fire, installed in a cast iron Victorian fireplace. At the other end of the room there is ample space for two sofas, and a built-in cupboard provides a platform for TV or sound system The upstairs is floored in solid oak, and oak doors with Suffolk latches add to the cottage atmosphere. The two bedrooms and bathroom lead off a landing, which gives a pleasant feeling of space: The main bedroom is a good double, with a small built-in hanging cupboard and space for a good size chest of drawers. The second bedroom is a single, but could take a pair of bunk beds if necessary. The bathroom is equipped with bath and shower, wash basin and low-level w.c., and also accommodates the gas combi boiler. Outside, the tiny paved courtyard with stone seating catches the morning sun. Car parking is usually easy in the quiet street outside. This charming property is ideal as a weekend retreat or as a comfortable home for a working couple. It is offered with vacant possession subject to contract, and there is no chain. As much or as little of the existing furniture and equipment can be included subject to negotiation.
