The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service and communication skills gained in a commercial environment and will be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving technical problems. Knowledge of the insurance industry would be a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
· Web development and maintenance – creating bespoke and generic product Internet application developments as part of an enterprise scale application business solution; amending content to meet client’s requirements; investigating and resolving technical problems; QA peer’s work; investigate & resolve technical problems.
· Testing/Quality Assurance - testing website functionality against specification: ensuring graphics completed to user specification; ensuring accuracy of text and presentation.
· Communication - ensuring internal/ external customers and team members/ management team are informed of significant issues and progress; mentor team members on technical skill areas
· Technical/Commercial Knowledge - demonstrate a high level of client-side technical competence surrounding the creation of dynamic websites; maintain an awareness of current development tools, their capabilities, and limitations.
· Work organisation - prioritise tasks effectively and achieve delivery deadlines; ability to work to tight timescales.
