| Description |
You will be responsible for the provision of 2nd level support for a number of applications. Day to day activities will include operational support, development and specification of support procedures, development of regression tests, and ensuring adherence to SLA and reporting feedback processes. You will also provide guidance to less experienced team members where appropriate.
You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience gained in an application support team, with a sound understanding of programming constructs, application design, and general computing disciplines. Specifically, you have 2 years’ experience gained in a Unix/VMS/VME or NT environment, and 2 years’ SQL (Access/Oracle or similar). Exposure to enterprise applications such as SAP/Siebel and middleware such as Seebeyond would be desirable.
You will be working with diverse user groups within the business, therefore require adaptable communication techniques, a good grasp of the broader business agenda and an ability to translate technical issues into layman’s terms. Your proactive approach to issue identification is evident in your track record to date, as is your commitment to continual improvement and best practise.
