Job Purpose
Customer Sales Advisors will be responsible for promoting and capturing all direct sales, both inbound and outbound, from non and British Gas customers , providing consistently high levels of customer service to ensure the acquisition and retention of the customer base. Customer Sales Advisors at Position 1 will be performing largely routine activity around executing Campaigns.
Principle Accountabilities
Performing largely routine activity around executing Campaigns to sell to non and British Gas customers
Promote appropriate products and Services in line with the customer’s profile
Provide accurate information on products and services to ensure consistency across the organisation and provide a reliable and trustworthy customer service
Promote and sell a wide variety of products and services to increase customer loyalty and complement existing product holdings
Operate and maintain customer related information systems to maintain accurate records and access information to enable work to be processed.
Promote the British Gas business, its products and services to build the highest reputation with its customers
Nature and Scope
The job holder will be one of a number of Customer Sales Advisors within the British Gas contact centres.
British Gas is placing increased emphasis on customer retention as well as customer acquisition. There is still a need currently however to acquire new customers to compensate for the high levels of customer churn. Customer Sales Advisors at Position 1 will play a critical role in ensuring a suitably high customer base through selling British Gas products to both new and existing customers. In order to increase the likelihood of retaining these customers, CSA’s will ideally sell customers more than one product offering or a product bundle. Customer Sales Advisors will provide a critical interface between British Gas and its customers, ensuring that the customer perceives one, integrated organisation that is truly customer focused.
Jobholders will be expected to perform largely routing activity around executing sales campaigns to non and British Gas customers. Customer Sales Advisors will respond to customers through a variety of channels including telephone (both inbound and outbound), internet and written correspondence as appropriate. Jobholders will be expected to acquire detailed knowledge across the British Gas product range and possess excellent customer contact and sales skills to enable them to progress sales opportunities when appropriate.
Dealing predominantly with non and British Gas customers, Customer Sales Advisors at Position 1 will be required to deliver a consistently high level of customer service to attract new customers to the Brand.
