Description
Overall purpose of job:
To test developed software in a variety of national configurations.
To develop software to meet requirements laid out in
functional specifications.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
To develop reliable and resilient software in Perl, PHP, Coldfusion
using mysql and postgresql databases under Linux and FreeBSD.
Education, qualifications, and special training:
A degree is not mandatory for this position, but is advantageous. More important is relevant knowledge and experience, with at least 2 years software development using any two of the following in a linux / unix envioronment:
C / C++
Perl
PHP
Coldfusion
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Excellent SQL.
Excellent Unix and / or linux.
Good knowledge of HTML and web applications
Excellent knowledge of at least two of the programming
languages listed above.
Competencies/Aptitudes required:
The successful candidate will be:
A self starter.
Able to demonstrate ability to work unsupervised and solve
problems using relevant and applicable sources of information.
