THE WORK
The Group advises on all employment issues including:
- contractual documentation policies for employees
- High Court/Employment Tribunal litigation
- termination negotiations
- collective disputes and industrial action
- discrimination and equal opportunities
- employment aspects of M&A including TUPE
- protecting confidentiality and goodwill/ injunctions
One of the major attractions of the group is the opportunity to experience working on both contentious and non-contentious matters. You will not just be here as a corporate support function. You will typically spend approximately 30% of your time doing transactional work, 35% of your time on contentious work and 35% on advisory matters. You will have the chance to manage work on a pan-European or global basis for clients who are looking to us to act as their single legal advisor.
EXPERIENCE
We are currently looking for employment lawyers with 3 - 5 years pqe who have qualified in England & Wales. At this level, you will have worked at one of the recognised employment practices in the City or a leading National firm and specialised in employment law.

In order to provide outstanding client service, we need to understand, anticipate and fulfil the unique needs and expectations of each client. We call this "Client Focus" and to help deliver this core part of our business strategy, we want to recruit lawyers who are not only technically excellent but also Client Focused.
We are looking for lawyers who:
- can demonstrate a keen interest and enthusiasm to learn about our clients' business;
- can work in teams, motivating and coaching their juniors and contributing to overall success;
- are empathetic, responsive and reliable;
- are commercial and innovative in the solutions they deliver to clients;
- are good at fostering relationships with clients.
In short, we are looking for lawyers who are, or have the potential to be, excellent client managers.
