You will be responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding and rectification thereof on all building services inclusive of air conditioning, lighting and electrical distribution systems, standby generation, water and fire protection systems.
You will carry out planned maintenance to plant and equipment and respond to environmental complaints from employees;
You will ensure the safe operation of all electrical and mechanical systems of the building services and ensure the efficient and effective operation of all systems.
Skills and experience
In order to perform this role, you will have completed a recognised apprenticeship covering the requirements of building services maintenance in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines. You will also have a minimum of two years' post apprenticeship experience ideally in a corporate environment. You will also have trade and educational qualifications relevant to the level of your experience.
You will be conversant with BMS operation, reacting to alarms as they occur, with the ability to interrogate the systems to fault-find and be able to operate the building services equipment controlled by the BMS.
You will be conversant and aware of statutory regulations inclusive of Health and Safety At Work Act etc., Electricity At Work Act, COSHH, etc.
You will be a good teamworker with good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. You will also have proven experience of dealing with clients in face to face situations, resolving or escalting issues as appropriate.
