To provide support to the Information Office within the Finance & Capital Markets practice area.
Key Responsibilities
· Answering enquiries
· Monitoring websites for relevant developments
· Accurate processing and organisation of hard copy material to allow subsequent retrieval of books and journals.
· Processing orders for books and loose-leaf volumes and arranging updating of loose-leaf volumes.
· Responsible for distributing information to the relevant parties, eg items requested by lawyers.
· Responsible for administering the Finance & Capital Markets contents on the firm's library management system.
· Specific projects as required, often technology based.
· Developing financial and information product knowledge.
· Organising the work of summer students and temporary paralegals.
ADDITIONAL TASKS MAY INCLUDE
· Assisting with the maintenance of relevant areas of the intranet.
· Deal document and knowledge management - collecting, cataloguing, database entry, filing.
Skills & Experience
In order to perform this role you will have a strong academic background at a minimum of degree level or equivalent standard.
You will be able to demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in Library or Information services.
You will ideally have some administrative or client services work experience and have previously conducted research from varied sources.
You will be highly organised and have good attention to detail. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be a flexible team member. You will be IT literate with competent keyboard skills.
