Experience needed: Duties and Responsibilities
Participation in development teams to deliver data warehouse and business intelligence solutions;
Design, configuration, development and testing of Business Objects and/or MicroStrategy environments, metadata and reports, utilising the full client, server and web interfaces;
Data modelling based on business requirements, and optimisation of data models for front end implementations;
Communication with technical and business staff in technical and plain English language;
Documentation of all work carried out (e.g. data models, configurations, and setup);
Occasional business analysis;
Assistance in preparation of data warehouse project proposals, including client and vendor meetings;
Input into the Conchango best practice for BI projects.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Mid to high-end solutions experience with competency in the following areas;
The full BusinessObjects or MicroStrategy product sets;
Database design and optimisation for Business Objects or MicroStrategy implementations;
2 years Business Intelligence experience;
Client facing and thinking strategically from client’s perspective to deploy correct solutions.
Desirable Experience
Preference will be given to candidates who can also demonstrate knowledge and experience of any other Business Intelligence technologies, including any of the following:
SQL Server Analysis Services;
Panorama or ProClarity;
Any mainstream RDBMS;
Any leading ETL tools such as Ab Initio, SQL Server DTS or Integration Services, Informatica or Data Integrator
