Description
A wealth of origional features combined with a modern, light and comfortable interior makes this a unique and beautiful property. The rooms are of great size, many with origional wooden floors and all except the attic and basement conversions have viable fireplaces. The living room especially has a huge fireplace with a log basket medieval banquet style - it is just the best in the winter, almost as good is the origional range in the dining room which still has an oven and kettle stand, and befriend the park keeper next door as we have and you'll have a free wood supply as well! The kitchen is built in with a dish washer and fridge encorperated. The utility/laundry room is off of the main bathroom and houses the boiler, washing machine and dryer and loads of storage for linen - we keep the hoover in there too. The windows are single glazed as they are probably the most stunning feature of the house. Designer by locally famed architect John Douglas - he did all the work for the Duke of Westminster - and they are brick mullioned and frameless, we'd never seen anything like it before.
